Family Practice APP for Faulkton, SD (perm) opportunity in Faulkton, South Dakota

Wapiti Medical Staffing is seeking an advanced practice provider (NP or PA) for a permanent position in Faulkton, South Dakota.         

Family Practice Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed to fill a full-time position, assuming responsibility for the provision of care and medical management of patients at the clinic and hospital under the direction and supervision of a physician.

Applicants are expected to possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members. Electronic medical record experience is preferred, but not required

POSITION/FACILITY DETAILS

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for permanent Family Practice position
• Shift options: 4 clinic days per week, one night per week of ER Call. 10-11 weekends per year of ER call (Friday 5p – Monday 7am). Included in holiday rotations with other providers.
• Annual volume: Average 25 clinic visits per day (between 2-3 providers). ER visits average 1.3/day (483 annually).
• e-ER and ePharmacy available.
• EMR: Cerner

NP/PA QUALIFICATIONS

• South Dakota state license and DEA
• Board certified NP or PA
• Life Support Certifications needed: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• COVID and flu vaccinations required, but religious and medical exemptions will be considered.
• Prefer someone with experience, especially in ER/Trauma settings, but will consider new grads
