COVERAGE REQUIREMENTS Anesthesiology (ANES)

• Start Jan ongoing
• Mon-Fri 6:30a-3p or 4, 10’s
• Occasional weeknight and/or weekend call

POSITION DETAILS Anesthesiology (ANES)

• Location: Georgia
• Shift times - 6;30am-3:00pm starting in January 
• Shift dates needed: 4 or 5 days a week with an occasional weekend and/or weeknight call 
• 7 Anesthesiologists currently (goal to have 8)
• 14 CRNA’s 
• Call 1:7 (at home call, if within 30 miles)
• Weekday call: 7am-7am, then off/on post call day, usually 1 day week 
• Weekend call is Friday, 7am - Monday 7am, with post call day off
• Weekend coverage is one MD and two anesthetists
• Physician administers epidurals at night, supervises on-call CRNA and back-up call CRNA as cases arise
• 8 OR’s at main hospital campus ~30 cases/day
• 50 cases per day (average, OR, OB & Endoscopy)
• 40% Endoscopy
• 35% General surgery
• 20% Complex Ortho
• 5% OB (c-section/epidurals) Hospital-Based/Hospital-Employed Position Practice Opportunity
• Spinal anesthesia, Epidural anesthesia, regional anesthesia, OB cases, Thoracic cases (except open heart), Complex vascular cases (except for the heart), Complex orthopedic cases, Pain Management-Acute, Arterial Lines, Central Lines (rarely), They have peds but no cardiac, only vascular.
