A state correctional facility is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.

The clinician will be expected to consult with the facility treatment teams to develop treatment plans, provide psychiatric assessments, and prescribe appropriate psychotropic medications. As a member of the treatment team, the clinician is expected to complete the statutorily required assessments of criminal competency for the courts and be available to testify as an expert witness when subpoenaed.
