General Surgeon opening in New Mexico Located in Artesia, NM Southwestern Desert climate (located in Southeast New Mexico) 240 miles to Albuquerque NM; 170 miles to Lubbock TX Full-time, permanent position J1 & H1 Visa sponsorship available Salary Range: From $560 a year Job Description - Seeking a full-time General Surgery physician for a community hospital - CEO is a practicing physician - Monday Friday 8-5 with ½ administrative day - 10 days of call per month to include one weekend - Good Medical specialty and Anesthesia support - Compensation very competitive - Excellent Benefits package (sign-on bonus, relation allowance, paid CME, etc.) - Malpractice insurance paid by facility as well as DEA, Controlled Substance and society dues. - Facility is licensed for 25 beds and community owned and operated. - ER visits average about 1,100 per month or 13,200 per year. - Located in rural Southeast New Mexico adjacent to the West Texas Border. - Good Payor mix and strong community support. - Overall, a great work environment, a mission of high-quality care and a strong work-life balance.
