ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

•    The physician shall provide needed professional services relating to his or her specialty on an outpatient and inpatient basis to the defined patient population and assure continuity of care for those patients.

•    Works with the designated administrator to provide input into the budgets, capital expenditures, strategic planning and marketing.

•    Assists with the selection, supervision and evaluation of the staff, including technical and clerical staff.

•    Assists Mercyhealth in the recruitment of additional physicians to the area.

•    Becomes involved in community activities and community health education and promotion.

MD1 and Hospice only: 
For those driving Mercyhealth vehicles:
Maintain a valid driver’s license. 
Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth’s HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.

For those driving their personal vehicles:
Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of vehicle insurance when requested. 
Have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercyhealth’s HR.100 Fleet and Driver Safety policy.

Passing the Driver’s License Check for those positions requiring

Passing Credit Check for those positions requiring

Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check, IL Health Care Workers Background Check or both

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Neonate: birth – 28 days

Partner may access patient care information, financial data, human resource data and strategic and planning data needed to perform their job duties as directed by the director.
